Meet Allison

Allison Judge, BA (Hons), MA, PGCE

English specialist · 15 years classroom experience

Allison Judge is an accomplished educator and English specialist with 15 years of classroom teaching experience spanning both the primary and secondary education sectors. Originally qualifying with a PGCE in secondary English, Allison's deep passion for the subject eventually led her to transition into primary education with a very specific, high-impact remit: to bring her rigorous secondary expertise directly to the 11+ preparation process.

Allison's teaching style is vibrantly fun, lively, and entirely pupil-centred. She believes that true academic success stems from intellectual curiosity and independence. As a lifelong lover of reading, Allison has a rare gift for eliciting genuine enthusiasm from her pupils for the literature they study and the creative writing they undertake.

Allison has a deep and strategic understanding of the ever-changing 11+ landscape, and she takes great pride in her ability to analyse the nuances of various entrance papers year after year to stay ahead of evolving requirements for the reading and writing elements of the 11+ exams. Allison particularly enjoys exploring critical thinking skills and Philosophy for Children as part of interview preparation.

She aims to shift the narrative around entrance exams entirely. Her ultimate goal is for every child to walk into their 11+ examinations free of anxiety and filled with a proud, resilient mindset: "I can't wait to show them what I can do."

Our daughter loved her lessons with Allison during the 11+ years. Her love of the subject and enthusiasm really engaged her interest, and I know it helped to get our daughter into the school she wanted.

Allison fostered a love of writing in both of our children. They were always eager to share their work with us, and it was a joy to see their confidence flourish.
