Welcome to our camps

Helping your child to prepare for the 11+ journey can feel daunting, but our warm, small-group booster camps are thoughtfully designed to turn exam anxiety into quiet confidence.

We are two highly experienced classroom teachers and 11+ specialists who are truly passionate about helping children reach their full potential. Our aim is for children to walk into their 11+ exams feeling fully prepared, focused and ready to shine.

Having worked closely together at an established 11+ preparatory school in South West London, we bring a combined 30+ years of professional classroom experience to these small-group tutorial camps. Over the years, we have loved designing and delivering highly effective teaching programmes for 11+ success.

Our personalised guidance, supportive approach, and deep understanding of selective school admissions are all focused on helping children build the core knowledge, exam skills, and resilience they need to succeed.

“Allison helped me grow in confidence over the years she taught me — I'm in Year 8 now and I still use those skills in my exams.”
— SW18 Pupil
“What really sets Gina apart is her teaching method — she has a brilliant way of breaking things down so they just click. By exam time he felt truly prepared.”

Questions, answered

What South West London parents ask us

Do I have to commit to every camp?

Not at all. Camps can be booked individually or as a complete package to suit your family's schedule. We don't offer single-day bookings, however — we ask that pupils commit to the full three mornings of their chosen camp to get the most out of the experience.

Do you offer a secondary schools consultancy service?

Yes. We offer consultancy to families whose children have participated in at least three of our camps, as we believe we need to really get to know your child to offer truly meaningful guidance. It costs £265 for a 30-minute meeting with both Gina and Allison, plus a written report of school recommendations. Find out more.

What are the timings of the camps?

All camps take place during the school holidays. Each camp runs across three consecutive mornings, from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm daily.

What does a typical camp timetable look like?

Each morning is built from three focused sessions with short breaks in between. Here is a sample timetable from our October Reasoning & Problem-Solving camp, colour-coded by subject.

Do your camps only prepare children for 11+ exams in independent schools?

Not at all. While we do specialise in the specific nuances of the independent sector, we are proud to support pupils on a variety of academic pathways. We regularly and successfully prepare children for grammar school selective exams, as well as accelerated programmes and scholarship streams within state schools.

How much does a camp cost, and are there discounts?

Each three-day camp is £295, including all high-quality learning materials, resources and daily refreshments. We offer a 10% discount when you book three or more camps together.

How big are the groups?

We strictly limit our numbers to a 1:6 ratio, so every pupil receives warm, dedicated attention. The only exception is during our Interview Skills sessions, where we briefly come together as a larger group for collaborative challenges to recreate a realistic group-interview dynamic.

What subjects do you cover in each camp?

Every camp includes lessons in every aspect of the 11+ exam: Maths, English Comprehension, Writing, Verbal Reasoning, Non-verbal Reasoning and Interview Skills. In addition, each camp has a specific focus — for example Critical Thinking or Exam Strategy.

What is the venue like?

Our camps are hosted right inside our own homes. We choose a homely setting specifically because it creates a warm, welcoming and low-anxiety environment for the children, while also keeping our programme affordable for local families.

Will anyone else teach my child?

Very occasionally, unforeseen last-minute disruptions may mean Allison or Gina is unable to teach one day. If so, another fully-qualified classroom teacher with a minimum of ten years' experience will step in — always a trusted, fully DBS-checked colleague.

Can my Year 4 child join a camp?

Camps are targeted at children in Year 5 or Year 6, depending on the camp. We'll ask you about any additional learning needs in advance of booking, so we can ensure your child has the best possible experience.

Are the camps open to children of all abilities?

We ask that children attending our camps are broadly working at the appropriate level for their year group. We ask that EAL pupils have a reasonable grasp of English.

Saving a space for your child

Because we stick to our strict 1:6 ratio, spaces in each camp are genuinely limited. Secure your child's place through our quick online booking form.
